Description

The platform gathers ITBA's undergraduate final projects and graduate theses from 2021–2026, taken from the institutional repository, and connects them by topic. Each work has a preliminary level of entrepreneurial potential, a possible exit route and a maturity level, and the startups that have already emerged from those theses were identified. On the other side, partner companies and institutions submit their problems to be matched with this supply of knowledge. Access is by invitation only, with admin, reader and challenge-submitter roles, and the supply is updated in half-yearly editions.

Objectives

  • Make the entrepreneurial potential of ITBA's final projects and theses visible.
  • Match that supply of knowledge with real problems from companies and institutions.
  • Spot startups that emerge from theses and support their growth.

Main activities

  • Supply network: works connected by what they solve, filterable by degree, topic, year, level and potential.
  • Preliminary entrepreneurial potential from 1 to 5, with exit route and maturity level for each work.
  • Survey of startups that emerged from high- or very-high-potential theses.
  • Demand and matching: first trial with real challenges from an ITBA partner.

Results

  • 685 final projects and theses from 2021–2026 analysed (408 undergraduate, 203 master's, 59 specialisation and 15 doctoral), across 33 topics and 24 degrees, with 20 active startups identified. (Source: Open Innovation ITBA, beta cerrada, octubre de 2026)
